We couldn’t be more excited to gather all of our favorite people in our favorite place. It’s been a long time coming – going on 11 years together, but who’s counting.

We’ve planned this weekend to be a perfect blend of everything we love. So if you’re expecting a traditional wedding.. this is not it. Instead, we’ve opted for a weekend that is true to us – a little spontaneous, a little offbeat, and a lot of fun. The weekend will be full of adventure, weird little details, and probably a few last-minute decisions… hence the name: Schmidt Show Wedding. 

So why Red Rocks? For those that don’t know, Red Rock Canyon (just 40 minutes from the infamous Strip) is a world-class rock climbing destination.. For the past 6 years, we’ve taken an annual trip here every October. We’ve conquered most of the canyon’s best climbs, starting most days with an alpine start – leaving well before sunrise –  because as Josh always reminds us “if you’re not first you’re last.”

Most climbers typically rough it in the nearby campground, but not us. We prefer a more elevated climbing experience and always supplement our trip with a stay at the Red Rock Casino Resort and Spa. The HARDEST part of any trip is leaving the cozy hotel at the crack of dawn, but the BEST part is knowing we will return at the end of the day to a 5 star bed and a well-earned victory beer at Yardhouse to celebrate.
